Ahh this made me chuckle Bird! I know spring is on its way because I’m no longer needing my heated socks on when I’m riding!! And the primroses and daffs have gone crazy down here!
In my family we call those chin hairs “shark fins” because they are an extremely unwelcome sight and are sharp and violent- always showing up unexpectedly!
It’s their superpower. Also, the camellia in the front garden is so magnificent that I like to think it moves the focus from the rest of the garden which is awful atm.
What a wonderful post...light and yet intentional and heartfelt
I think you need a holiday in sunny South Africa. Hot days and warm evenings where you can sit outside and enjoy a cold one or two!
Always enjoy reading your posts and hope spring brings better weather ❤️

How appropriate! And yes, always unexpected, sometimes a cluster which is lovely.
Oh the sound of that brown bread and marmalade ripple ice cream!!! Any chance of the recipe ? xx
I can but ask!
This piece fills me with hope for the Spring ahead. It has been such a long time coming….
Hasn’t it just! Nearly there…
I really don’t like camellias, and then they ping flowers out just when they know they’ll be most welcome and change my mind
